Once a thriving beekeeping finca located high up in the Tivissa mountains, around 15 minutes' drive from the riverside village of Ginestar, this 11-hectare (110,291m2) finca, which has buildings on either side of a small hill in the middle of the property, can be reached via one of the many tracks that wind through the hills of this beautiful area.

Evidence of the property's past working life can be seen all over the land. On one side of the hill is a large (372m2) abandoned stone corral with built in areas for hives. There is a separate stone shed higher up on the hill on this side of the finca.

On the other side of the hill an olive tree lined driveway off the main track leads to a three-storey farmhouse with various outbuildings and corrals, plus a separate two-floor Dutch barn with a domed roof which is currently used as a workshop.

To the front of the house a traditional stone cisterna is used to store rainwater.

The house sits on a rise above the driveway, next to a large carob tree. From here there are views over the almond and olive groves and across to pines on the edge of the land. Also to the front of the house is an
an ancient olive tree, locally called Millenials due to their great age. These trees can be hundreds, sometimes thousands of years old.

Entranced via a covered porch with BBQ area, the house has an open-plan kitchen with dining area on the right, and to the back, a sitting room with fireplace on the left. There is also access to a large barn to the side of the house which has not been renovated and is used for storage.

Stairs to the first floor are on the right, to the back of the dining area.

The first floor consists of two bedrooms and a modern family bathroom, with a back door leading out to the terrace behind the house. Internal stairs lead to the attic space which has not been renovated.

The house, which is watertight and structurally sound, has been lovingly restored. The first two floors are habitable, with tiled floors, rendered and painted walls and exposed wooden beams.

While not currently connected to mains water, a borehole could be dug as there is plenty of ground water in the area.

A peaceful rural location which has been inhabited since prehistoric times, as can be seen by the Cova del Pi cave paintings a short distance from the property.
